RISK TO STOPS

Sum of (current price − stop) × shares for every open position, grouped three ways. Click any group row to expand its constituents. ▲ next to a manual risk figure means the chandelier stop is tighter — ratcheting reduces risk.

CORRELATION

How correlated are your current open positions to each other and to the macro factors (SPY = equity, USO = commodity, TLT = long rates, UUP = dollar, IEF = intermediate rates). Built to surface the "how many independent bets do I really have" question — the issue behind the 5/15/26 drawdown where 8 metals/miners positions all moved as one trade.

Stress correlation = realized pairwise correlation during the portfolio's 10 worst days in the selected window. Long-run correlations always understate crisis correlations — this is the discipline check.

1. Cluster cap — recommended 35% of book per cluster. A cluster is positions where all pairwise correlations exceed 0.7. Above 35% means a 1-sigma move in that one trade could deliver a portfolio drawdown larger than your discretionary risk budget.
2. Effective # of Bets (ENB) — monitor, not a limit. ENB shows how many independent bets your positions actually represent (correlated names collapse). It's displayed for awareness but no longer gates trades — cluster concentration is the hard risk control. A low ENB alongside a within-cap cluster profile is acceptable when you're intentionally leaning into a few strong trends.
3. Pre-trade correlation check. Before any new entry, scan its likely 60d correlation to existing holdings. If > 0.6 against anything currently held, you're stacking the trade, not adding diversification.
4. Quarterly stress test. Compare the calm vs stress matrix above. If structural creep is occurring (stress matrix getting redder over time), reduce gross exposure proactively.
